Best Dressed Window in Bowness !!

I was contacted last week by the Windermere & Bowness Chamber of Trade to say they’d voted our Bowness shop as having the Best Dressed Christmas Window 2011! We’re delighted. Thanks to all that voted – we do try our best. This is Lea picking up the certificate from vice-chairman Paul Frain at the Chamber’s January meeting. The first thing we did the next day was empty the window and start all over again !

North West Food Lovers Festival

We took part in the North West Food Lovers Festival at Tatton Park a week or so ago and it was mad busy (hence the late blog post!).

The Friday was a steady start – probably just as well as we got the stand sorted and found our feet – but Saturday was absolutely non-stop crazy, and Sunday really busy with families. Oh, and we spotted Simon Rimmer (@simonrim) from Something For the Weekend:)

It took a day or two to recover but well worth it! A big Thank You to everyone who came.

First Wedding Cake Order in Knutsford

Phew! It’s been a frantic few weeks for us in both Bowness and Knutsford. Last weekend in Bowness was the busiest of the year. We took four wedding cake orders in one day and the shop was as busy as it’s ever been.

We also took our first Wedding Cake order at the new studio in Knutsford, and presented our customer with a bottle of bubbly. Congratulations Heather and Mike, and thank you very much!

Knutsford Studio Now Open

Our new studio in Knutsford opened on Thursday, and we’re absolutely bowled over by the response. Thank you to all the people who came along for a glass of bubbly and some cake. I knew I was right when I made the decision to open my second studio in Knutsford, the other businesses and people are so friendly and were delighted we have joined them. Thanks to you all.

A few quick snaps. We’re still waiting for delivery of our signs !
